famous Blue Cheese is the Hendrix Student Center Eastside Food Court. The Hendrix
Student Center is located on the corner of Cherry and McMillan Road

The food industry is the largest industry in the
U.S. and therefore the demand for well-educated food science graduates
is high. The job placement rate for Clemson's food science graduates is
over 95 percent, and most of these students have more than one job
offer. The average starting salary for a B.S. graduate in food science
is $45,000.
The Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition
has a flexible curriculum. The food science and technology concentration
prepares you for a career such as food safety microbiologist, flavor
chemist, new product developer or food packaging specialist. The
dietetics and human nutrition concentration gives you the foundation
needed to become a pediatric nutritionist, medical dietitian or food
