Job Title: Department Chair Employer: Clemson University Address: 223 Poole Agricultural Center, Box 340316, Clemson, SC 29634-0316 Job Description: The Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Clemson University, is seeking an experienced and visionary individual for the position of Department Chair. The department offers BS, MS and PhD degrees with undergraduate degree tracks accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of the American Dietetic Association, Institute of Food Technologists, and the Research Chef’s Association. The Department Chair has primary responsibilities for strategic planning, academic and research programming, personnel/fiscal administration, development, and fostering local, national and international collaborations. Candidates shouldhave a Ph.D. in Food Science, Human Nutrition or a related discipline and demonstrated experience in research, teaching, mentorship, and administration of an organizational unit or program. The department is housed within the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences.
