Research Areas
  • Changes to bark beetle populations as a consequence of fuel reduction treatments in Piedmont forest ecosystems, Phase II (USFS funded)

  • Rearing of Laricobius nigrinus for control of the hemlock wooly adelgid in the Chattooga River watershed (in cooperation with Dr. Joe Culin, Dept. of Entomology; funded by the National Forest Foundation and USFS)

  • Surveying and mapping HWA Infestations in South Carolina (South Carolina Commission of Forestry)

  • Assessing the damages of the southern pine beetle infestation to the viewsheds of South Carolina using modeling, GIS and 3D visualization. (Co-PI with Bo Song and Tom Williams)
