Junior Naturalist Program to be Offered in Pickens County
Clemson Extension in Pickens County is offering a series of half-day Saturday programs for young people 8 to 13 years old covering a variety of topics in the natural world. The topics correspond with the science curriculum for grades 3-6. The program will cover subjects ranging from birds and insects to weather. Five of the 10-program series will be offered each year. Registration is limited to 15 participants per program.

Sixth Eastern Native Grass Symposium (Co-sponsored by Clemson University)
An established biennial conference on native grasslands in eastern North America; Designed to promote sharing of research, information and experiences; Topics will include ecology and genetics of native grasses as feed-stocks, native grass communities, native grasses and wildlife, native grasses as forage, eastern seed sources development, propagation and establishment, aesthetic use of native grasses, and many more.

SC Tree Farm Forestry Conference
The SC Tree Farm Conference is open to all landowners, Tree Farmers, foresters, natural resource professionals, and others interested in improving forest management, or learning more about Tree Farm certification, biomass utilization, carbon sequestration, Farm Bill, and the present and future of forestry.

2008 CAFLS Tailgate

Forestry Alumni annual homecoming meeting and picnic will be held November 15th, 2008 on the patio of Lehotsky Hall, two and a half hours prior to the kickoff of the homecoming football game vs Duke University.
