First Friday Parade The First Friday Parade is one of the many events that occur to excite students about the beginning of a new school year. It takes place on the Friday before the First home football game, hence the name. Students, faculty, and other members of the Clemson community gather along the roadside as floats constructed by various sororities on campus drive by with cheering girls behind them. Other organizations make appearances as well such as UPAC, the cheerleaders, and the Rally Cats, Kudzu Kids, and Tiger Band. After the parade, everyone conjugates at the amphitheater for a pep rally, which consists of performances by the Rally Cats and the cheerleaders. The winner of the title Miss First Friday is announced along with the float winners. It is tons of fun and a great way to express school spirit! |
