Overview

West Virginia State University, Alzheimer's Association-WV Chapter, Clemson University, Alabama Cooperative Extension System, North Carolina State University, Tennessee State University, University of Georgia are sponsoring the 2012 Caring for the Caregiver conference. This year’s theme is “Maximizing Your Resources, Capitalizing on Your Strengths”. You will:

Who Should Attend?

Format

General Sessions - Keynote speakers will emphasize the issues, challenges, and solutions facing caregivers.

Workshops - 50 minute workshops will address the issues, challenges, and solutions that caregivers face in today’s world. Participants will have an opportunity to interact and ask questions of presenters.

Registration

The registration fee includes:

Note: You will be given tickets for breakfast on Sept. 12 & 13 and for lunch on Sept. 12.

Registration for Professionals - The registration cost for the conference is $250.00 if you register by August 1, 2012, and $300.00 after midnight on August 1, 2012. You can register online by going to the registration for professionals webpage.

Registration for Caregivers and Students - The registration cost for the conference is $75.00 if you register by August 1, 2012, and $100.00 after midnight on August 1, 2012. Scholarships are available for caregivers and students. Visit the registration for caregivers and students webpage for more information about scholarships and registration.

Lodging

The conference will be held at the Charleston Marriott Town Center. A block of rooms has been set aside for conference participants. Lodging reservations must be made by Friday, August 24, 2012. Visit the conference lodging webpage for more information on how to make reservations.
