Money 2000™: Financial Management
for the Not-Yet-Wealthy
After the successful implementation of the Money
2000 program in South Carolina, it was determined that
there was a need for an adaptation of the program specifically created
for limited resource audiences. Objectives of the Money 2000™:
Financial Management for the Not-Yet-Wealthy program include the following:
- To encourage families to set specific goals to save and / or reduce debt
that are appropriate to their financial situation.
- To encourage families to adopt financial practices, i.e., recordkeeping,
utilizing accounts at financial institutions, credit management, that will
increase financial stability.
The 130-page curriculum includes chapters / lessons on the following topics:
- Money Traps That Keep You Broke!
- You and Your Money: A Recipe for Success
- Pennies Make Dollars
- Find Money: Breaking Habits
- Credit Management
- Are You a Financial Enabler?
- Working With Farm Families
- Resource
