The Office of Foundation Relations is positioned within the Corporate and Foundation Relations unit of Clemson University’s Office for Development. The Foundation Relations Office is charged with developing and maintaining relationships with national and regional private foundations whose interests align with strategic programs and initiatives at Clemson.
The Office of Foundation Relations collaborates with Clemson University faculty members, program directors, and administrators in identifying potential foundation partners and applying for awards. The Director of Foundation Relations assists principal investigators by serving as the university liaison with the foundation program director, arranging meetings with program officers and campus visits, editing written proposals, preparing executive cover letters for proposals, working with media services on news releases for foundation awards, and planning gift announcement events for major awards.
If you are interested in seeking private foundation support for an initiative, please contact our office to determine how we may assist you. We will ask you to follow our Proposal Development Guidelines prior to meeting to discuss your project. Please read our FAQ prior to starting your concept paper/draft proposal using the Proposal Development Guidelines.
