Giving to Clemson

Athletics

A Winning CombinationTigers!

Clemson is committed to building a model sports program - one that propels the university into achieving and maintaining national athletic rankings and that rivals our competitors. When several crucial athletic initiatives are completed, Clemson will be better able to:

• recruit and nurture top-quality student athletes;
• attract and retain outstanding coaches and staff;
• provide recruits and fans outstanding facilities; and
• promote Clemson school spirit.

Funding Priorities

• One Clemson Museum, Oculus, NW Concourse and Tiger Statues Plaza: $12,400,800
• Doug Kingsmore Stadium Left-field Grandstand: $3,000,000
• Olympic Sports Village (Jervey/McFadden renovation): $785,000
• Other Athletic Priorities: $6,675,000
Total: $22,860,800
(More detailed information about each individual project will be available on www.clemsontigers.com soon!)

While it is known that the University no longer relies completely on public funding, a lesser-known fact is that Athletics receives no tax financing. Clemson Athletics pays for its operations through ticket sales, broadcast contracts and other related revenue, along with generous annual contributions from Tiger fans and supporters. From the cost to paint the sidelines on the football field to the repair and cleaning of the stands at Riggs Field, Clemson Athletics must raise each cent of its operating costs.

And while IPTAY has been the backbone of Clemson Athletics for the past 75 years by funding student athlete scholarships, the athletics department must seek capital funding in order to not be left behind on quality facility infrastructure.

In Clemson's quest to become a top-20 university, President James F. Barker set a goal for Athletics to achieve notable recognition in several sports. Private funding is more important now than ever in Clemson's history.

Clemson University is looking for partners to join us as leaders as we travel the road to success and leave behind a special legacy for future generations.
