How Dr. Stamatikos's research is transforming health care

Dr. Stamatikos’s laboratory is primarily interested in identifying alterations in gene expression that occur during atherosclerosis specifically in vascular wall cells. Once these changes in gene expression within vascular wall cells are identified, another focus of his lab is to correct these aberrations with cutting-edge technologies. This research conducted in his lab may eventually lead to novel treatments and therapies for atherosclerosis.
