As of July 2010 the School of Education has 3.2 million in externally funded sponsored research. In addition to collaborative work with
faculty in various other Clemson University departments, projects also
are predominantly involved with local agencies, especially schools and
school systems. While many projects are research focused, components
of these projects as well as the whole focus of other projects are
collaborative demonstration projects or provide direct services to
communities. Some of these service-related projects are conducted by School of Education centers and institutes.
The School of Education also has major involvement in Clemson University’s undergraduate
Creative Inquiry effort with more than 15 different groups currently at
work. Students work across multiple semesters on a research or service
project in collaboration with other students, often from other
disciplines, departments, and/or colleges.
