The Children & Nature Network is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to provide leadership support for its new Cities Promoting Access to Nature initiative. This is a full-time (40 hrs/week), three-year contract position (Dec. 2014 – Nov. 2017). Contractor must provide his/her own workspace, computer and phone. The ideal candidate has a passion for the mission of connecting children to nature, experience working with leaders across sectors, and extensive program development and management experience.
The Children & Nature Network is a virtual organization with no central office or hub. However, given the nature of this initiative and the direct collaboration with the National League of Cities, location near Washington D.C. is preferred. If candidate is not located near Washington D.C., it is expected that he or she will travel frequently to the NLC office. Some travel will also be required for conferences, trainings and city-level implementation support.
