Kelly explains to the students the activity for the day.The 

students will be making their own bird houses out of gourds. 

 Ms. Cohen hung the bird houses in her room so they would dry. 

The bird houses created a beautiful rainbow of colors.

Kelly shows one of the students how to put 

a star on his bird house. 

 One of the Garden Experiences students helps put a string on a gourd 

for a child so that he can take it home and hang it outside for the birds.

Rebecca helps a child paint her bird house. Rebecca-and the 

rest of the class-wanted to do her own but we ran out of gourds.
