	"Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children. We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children." ~Ancient Indian Proverb~ Kelly explains to the students the activity for the day.The students will be making their own bird houses out of gourds.
Ms. Cohen hung the bird houses in her room so they would dry. The bird houses created a beautiful rainbow of colors.
	“Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.” ~H. Jackson Brown, Jr.~ Kelly shows one of the students how to put a star on his bird house.
One of the Garden Experiences students helps put a string on a gourd for a child so that he can take it home and hang it outside for the birds.
	"Each child is an adventure into a better life- an opportunity to change the old pattern and make it new." ~Hubert H. Humphrey Rebecca helps a child paint her bird house. Rebecca-and the rest of the class-wanted to do her own but we ran out of gourds.
