Rebecca worked with Hunt Meadows Elementary students and taught

them the Egghead exercise. She used small dixie cups instead of

eggshells for the soil and grass seed.

“One of the healthiest ways to gamble is with a spade and a package of garden seeds."
~Dan Bennett~

The students had a lot of fun with this exercise. They

really enjoyed drawing the faces on their cups.

“There is nothing in which the birds differ more from man than the way in which they can build and yet leave a landscape as it was before."
~Robert Lynd~

Rebecca had originally planned to plant 6 flats of pansies and

violas, several potted pansies, and three ornamental cabbages

in the 6 existing beds in the courtyard of

Hunt Meadows Elementary School.
