University of Missouri-Columbia--Postdoctoral Associate—Viticulture
  • Summary:  The University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking an innovative scientist for a Postdoctoral Associate—Viticulture appointment in the Division of Food Systems and Bioengineering, College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR).  The appointment is located at the Institute for Continental Climate Viticulture and Enology (ICCVE). 

  • Duties:
    1. Assist with viticulture research projects, supervised by the Viticulture Program leader, and collaborating with other members of the ICCVE team to advance and promote program efforts;

    2. Conducting viticulture experiments on canopy and crop load management of Norton grapevines, vineyard mechanization, and scion rootstock interactions;

    3. Prepare reports proposals, manuscripts, and other written documents as required;

    4. Provide assistance with workshops, conferences, field days, and short courses as required.


  • Qualifications:
    1. Earned PhD degree in viticulture, horticulture, or related fields, with emphasis in whole-plant physiology required;

    2. Laboratory experience and prior extension experience with the grape and wine industry preferred. 


  • Salary:  Salary will be commensurate with years of postdoctoral experience.
