A Success

I have grown to enjoy the feeling I get when I put waste in its place. The recycling that I did was very easy to do because it fit right in with my everyday lifestyle and took just a few minutes of my time each day. I recycled mail and newsprint, old burnt oil, and aluminum cans and glass bottles. All of these items could have a very significant role in the reduction of the depletion of our natural resources. Junk mail and meaningless flyers are one area that needs concern. Something should be done to prevent so many of these junk mail items from being produced. For example, legislature should impose a special tax on all such items.

Over all my project was a success. I recycled over thirty gallons of motor oil, probably over sixty pounds of glass bottles and aluminum cans, and maybe just ten pounds of junk mail. Over the last month and a half, my contribution may not have been as large as I had hoped, but I think it will help if I continue to recycle. This is definitely something that I enjoyed and plan to continue for years to come.
