About the Center
Vision: To conduct research, produce scholarship, implement programs, and serve as an information resource on issues pertaining to the Black experience in education.
Mission: The mission of the Charles H. Houston Center for the Study of the Black Experience in Education is to examine and address issues as well as disseminate information about the Black experience in education in the State of South Carolina and throughout the United States. The Charles H. Houston Center for the Study of the Black Experience in Education achieves its goals by conducting research and program evaluations, implementing educational programs, and pursuing collaborations and partnerships.
