About Research & Scholarship
The research and scholarship produced at the Charles H. Houston Center for the Study of the Black Experience in Education is designed to inform various stakeholders in the educational community at Clemson University, around the country, and abroad about the Black experience in education. To accomplish this goal, faculty and staff at the Charles H. Houston Center pursue the following tasks: (a) produce and submit manuscripts to various journals aligned with the priorities of the Center; (b) produce and disseminate scholarly information; (c) collect, obtain, and analyze data aligned with the Center’s priorities; (d) pursue funding opportunities to conduct research; and (e) produce scholarly publications.
