The Office of Human Resources of Clemson University prepares Retirement Plaques to be awarded to all employees who retire from the University or to families of employees who die in active service with the University. Plaques are distributed from the Office of Human Resources to the Budget Centers for presentation to the employees or the employees' families, as appropriate.

The years of service recognized on the Retirement Plaques include all years of service as recognized by the South Carolina Retirement System. Years of service are rounded up or down to the nearest year.

Employees should be aware that years of service recognized on Retirement Plaques may be different than years of States service used for State service certificates/pins and leave accruals.
