Welcome to the Office of International Affairs
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) coordinates international activities and collaborative efforts on Clemson’s campus and around the world through programming, services, and development. We work with faculty, staff, and students in the areas of international programs and international services.
During fall 2008 and spring 2009, OIA worked with the Campus Internationalization Task Force to examine the current status of internationalization at Clemson and provide recommendations for expansion, improvement, and implementation of internationalization across campus. Read the Executive Summary of the Task Force's Report.
The Office of International Affairs is led by Dr. James P. Cross, Vice Provost for International Affairs and Chief International Education Officer. The office provides leadership for international initiatives and strategies, and coordinates development and utilization of resources to expand and maximize internationalization efforts.
Our international programs area assists students with study abroad, works with faculty and staff on programming and assists with curriculum development and other campus initiatives related to internationalization.
Our international services area assists international students, faculty, staff, and visitors with immigration (visas) and employment and tax matters. We also coordinate with other campus offices to develop programming and activities to insure Clemson's international faculty, students and visitors are fully integrated into the campus community.
