The Office of International Affairs (OIA) is led by the Vice Provost for International Affairs, Dr. James P. Cross. OIA deals with programming and services for incoming international students, faculty, staff and visitors and for Clemson students who wish to study abroad. We also work to enhance overall campus internationalization as both Clemson and our students and faculty live, work and study in an increasingly diverse and interconnected world.
Globalization is increasing our interconnected and interdependent relationships with the rest of the world. For universities, this creates new challenges and opportunities in the areas of international education, research and service. At Clemson, we are implementing a unique strategy that links our traditional strengths in education and research to support economic development for South Carolina and, more broadly, the United States.
