Who: All students, faculty, and staff interested in study abroad are welcome.

Please RSVP by Friday, September 18th to Lindsay McMahan at abroad-L@clemson.edu or 656-2457. We look forward to seeing you.

Posters:

Students are encouraged to display a poster at the reception. If you haven't yet had the chance to create a poster for a conference or workshop this will be good experience for the future. This will also be an opportunity for you to share your study abroad experience and highlight what you learned or found the most memorable and interesting.  Be as creative and informative as you would like. Posters may be by individuals, pairs, or teams. Some posters will be selected for display at the Study Abroad Fair on September 30 and at other venues across campus.

OIA will provide an easel.  Your poster should not be more than 4'x4' and should be mounted on a rigid backboard (such as foam board).

If you plan to bring a poster, please let us know by sending a message to abroad-L@clemson.edu, so that we can arrange for adequate space.

A couple of basic pointers: Do not crowd the poster with too much content or too small font size (Arial font, 25 point size is recommended). Choose colors that are easy on the eyes and don't use too many colors--this will make the poster look too busy.

Resources for guidance on creating posters:

Clemson's SC Life Project has created "Guidelines for Creating a Poster for a Professional Meeting." This publication has some excellent suggestions for creating a poster and also includes the guidelines of several scientific professional societies. Includes good and bad examples.
