iCoach Preparation

iCoaches receive training modeled after the South Carolina's Math and Science Unit's K-5 Coaching Initiative

iCoaches develop monthly and annual school plans for instrucitonal improvement
iCoach Support

iCoaches are supported primarily by virtual meta-coaching strategies

iCoaches participate in regular follow-up sessions

iCoches have access to an extensive library of internet based content materials and courses

iCoaches have a 205 day contract

iCoaches have principal and district mentoring

iCoaches are supported for training,office and travel expenses
iCoach Requirements

District has prior experience supporting Math and Science Unit trained coach

Applicant has appropriate professional experience

iCoaching is professional development embedded in the school day

iCoaching is driven by the Math and Science Unit Theory of Action for Instructinal Improvement

iCoaches are free from regular duties, substitute teaching, teacher evaluations, training others to coach

iCoaching schools provide data as requested by South Carolina's Coalition for Math & Science or the South Carolina Math and Science Unit
