The Brussels conference brought together teacher educators from around the world to clarify service-learning language, share professional work, and explored possibilities for future collaboration on issues of research, policy, and practice. An International Planning Committee has begun setting goals, creating workshop topics, identifying possible speakers, and designing activities.

This symposium aims to bring international scholars, practitioners, and community leaders to present their research, teaching, and community service experiences in the past/current and to explore models for the service-learning in the 21st century with the international, inter-disciplinary, and intercommunity frameworks.
