Online Travel Information 

From the Libraries' Alumni Travel Information page, you can link to websites with general travel information (country data, weather, currency, etc.).


The Libraries have a web catalog that you can search from anywhere, on campus or off. Use the catalog to see if we have the book, journal, or audiobook that you are looking for. 

Borrowing Privileges

Clemson alumni can check out up to twenty books for four weeks. Books can be renewed once. Get your free library card at the Circulation Desk in Cooper Library, in the Architecture Library, or by filling out an online form. See Alumni Circulation Services for more details.

Popular Reading and Audiobooks

There is a collection of popular reading materials - both books and audiobooks - on the 4th floor of Cooper Library. You can check out four items at a time for four weeks from this collection. Visit the Popular Reading Page for more information or come in and browse.

Patents and Trademarks

Copies of patents from 1790 to the present are available in Cooper Library. You can search patent or trademark databases here or we can help you find patent sites on the world wide web. Videos and Compact Discs

Once you have your courtesy library card, you can check out DVDs, videos, and CDs from our collection on the 4th floor of Cooper Library.


When you visit the library, you can find full-text current magazine and newspaper articles in a variety of databases and photographs in the AP Photo Archive. You can also do research in databases like Engineering Index, Construction Database, Avery Architecture Index, General Business File, and ERIC Education Database. These and many more are available on public terminals in the library. For a list of all available databases, see our Find Articles page. (Most of them require being on campus or an active Clemson ID and password, but a few can be accessed by anyone from anywhere.)

Tax Forms

You can pick up or copy tax forms in Cooper Library.

Special Collections

In Special Collections, on the lower level of the Strom Thurmond Institute, we have the University Archives (includes old issues of the Tiger, Taps, and Clemson World), many manuscript collections (Thomas Green Clemson's letters, for example), and rare books. Visit our Palmetto Yesteryears online photograph collection to see historic pictures of the university and the state. 

You can purchase copies of photographs, slides, or videos from the collection.

Children's Books

There is a collection of books for children and young adults on the 3rd floor of Cooper Library. Look here for Newbery and Caldecott Award books, among many others.
