Clemson University Libraries

Message from the Dean

At the center of a university characterized by groundbreaking and innovative research and teaching, the Clemson University Libraries are a hub of activity and learning.

Each day, more than 5,000 people visit the Clemson University Libraries; in addition, 1,500 visits occur virtually, as students and faculty access online resources through our web site. Last year over 1,000,000 people came to the Libraries - more people than attended all the Clemson home football games combined!

The Libraries play an essential role in teaching and research excellence in every area of study at Clemson University. To support a top research university, we must provide state-of-the-art electronic information and research capabilities as well as traditional books and journals.

You can help us insure that Clemson students and faculty will always have access to the information resources they need as they advance the frontiers of knowledge and make the discoveries that will change our lives in the 21st century. Gifts to the Clemson University Libraries are truly investments in the future.

I welcome the opportunity to show you around our very crowded but much loved Library.  Cooper Library is open 24 hours a day for five days a week as well as weekend hours.  This is not your father’s library.  It’s not even your library!  It’s the library of today with vision toward tomorrow.

Come see us,

Kay L. Wall
Dean of Libraries
