CLEMSON — Raju Balakrishnan has been named senior associate dean for academic programs and administrative services in the College of Business and Behavioral Science at Clemson University. Greg Pickett will serve as interim associate dean for the college’s expansion in Greenville.

Balakrishnan previously served as associate dean for undergraduate programs and administrative services. Pickett previously served as chairman of the department of marketing in the college. Marketing professor Mary Anne Raymond will replace Pickett in that role on an interim basis.

Balakrishnan and Pickett take over duties left vacant by Caron St. John, who is leaving Clemson to serve as the new dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Alabama at Huntsville.

“Caron will certainly be missed by all of us in the college,” said Dean Claude Lilly. “However, I have every confidence that both Raju and Greg will continue the momentum of these programs and help to further and even elevate the foundations she’s laid.”

Balakrishnan will oversee all graduate programs, with the exception of the MBA program, and the college’s on-campus centers and institutes in addition to his current responsibilities for undergraduate programs and administrative services. Pickett will be responsible for the continued development and operation of the college’s Clemson at the Falls location on the Reedy River, including the MBA program.
