CLEMSON — A Clemson University student has been recognized by GEICO for academic excellence.
Brendan Lopes, a senior financial management major from Easton, Pa., has been named a 2010 GEICO Achievement Award winner. The GEICO Achievement Award recognizes junior and senior students majoring in business, computer science, mathematics or related programs who have outstanding academic achievements, demonstrated leadership and been involved with the campus and community.
“We are pleased to announce Brendan Lopes as a 2010 GEICO Achievement Award recipient,” said Jill Stover, a GEICO college recruiter. “Brendan’s impressive academic and extracurricular record epitomizes what Achievement Awards stand for and we are excited to be able to present him with the award.”
Lopes will receive $1,000 from GEICO as part of the award.
“GEICO is committed to working with Clemson University and providing college students with opportunities such as Achievement Awards, summer internships and post-graduate, full-time careers,” Stover said.
