CLEMSON — People who want to donate to help the victims of the crises in Japan can find a link on the Clemson University website.
The website provides a link for visitors to donate to the Clemson University Red Cross fund and offers advice for avoiding scams and unsolicited requests for money.
Eight Clemson University students who are studying in Japan this semester are far from the areas affected by the earthquake and tsunami and all are OK, according to the university's International Affairs office.
Six of the students are studying at Nagoya University about 150 miles south of Tokyo. The other two are at Fukui University about 200 miles west of Tokyo. Both universities are open as usual.
The earthquake and tsunami damage and the Fukushima Dai-ichi reactor are north of Tokyo.
For more information, see the earthquake update page.
