FLORENCE — If you think Florence is beautiful, keep it that way and help two good causes in one.
Safely dispose of unwanted latex paint during Keep Florence Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup, Saturday, March 26.
The Florence/Darlington Stormwater Consortium is partnering with Keep Florence Beautiful and the city of Florence to host a latex paint collection event. The collected paint will be used for the city’s Paint The Town program, in which volunteers paint the homes of senior and disabled residents.
Take unwanted paint to Timrod Park off Cherokee Road between 8 a.m. and noon.
Improper disposal of paints can be harmful to the environment. The event will provide residents with a safe way to dispose of unwanted latex paint, and the paint will be put to good use.
C&S Paint Center is donating five-gallon buckets to consolidate the collected paint.
