Student Disability Services celebrates Delta Alpha Pi inductees

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Nu Chapter of Delta Alpha Pi Honor Society at Clemson University inducted 10 students on April 3. Students invited to join the honor society must have a documented disability, work with the university’s Office of Student Disability Services and exhibit an interest in disability issues.

Undergraduates must have completed at least 24 credit hours and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.10. Graduate students must have completed at least 18 credits and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30.

The inductees include:

  • Kaitlin Marie Buck, a sophomore political science major from Niwot, Colo.;
  • Andrea Beth Campbell, a graduate student studying computer science from Hampton, Tenn.;
  • Melissa Kaye Garwood, a sophomore biological science major from Greer;
  • Gavin Arthur Franks, a graduate student studying automotive engineering from Greenville;
  • Stephen Allen Gosnell, a senior psychology major from Duncan;
  • Arie Lynise Jenkins, a junior psychology major from Westminster;
  • Eric Jensen Michels, a junior industrial engineering major from Wilmington, Del.;
  • Spencer Timothy Patrick, a sophomore computer science major from Charlotte; and
  • Katherine Ann Yohman, a graduate student in architecture from Charleston.

Delta Alpha Pi was founded in 2004 at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania to recognize honor students who have disabilities. Delta Alpha Pi stands for disability, achievement and pride. Nu Chapter at Clemson University was established in 2008.
