CLEMSON — Two Fort Mill residents have been elected to the Clemson University Undergraduate Student Senate.

Katie Ott, a junior majoring in English, and Michael Hirsch, a sophomore majoring in history, will serve during the 2011-1012 school year.

The Undergraduate Student Senate is made up of 64 students who represent all academic areas and the university's five colleges. Senators draft and vote on amendments, bills and resolutions that impact all areas of student life at Clemson. Senate committees focus on different areas of the Clemson experience, ranging from academic affairs to health and human services.

The Senate works closely with Clemson administrators, faculty, staff and students to accomplish their goals each year.
