Clemson hosting pond management workshop in Florence

FLORENCE — Learn about stormwater and water quality during a pond management workshop hosted by Clemson University Extension, Carolina Clear and the Florence Darlington Stormwater Consortium.

The workshop will be from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 14 at the Pee Dee Research and Education Center, 2200 Pocket Road, Florence. The class costs $40 per person and includes pizza and refreshments.

The registration deadline is July 5.

The workshop also will cover aquatic weed identification and control, pond fertilization and stocking and fish health, among other issues. Two pesticide continuing-certification hours are available. 

The Florence Darlington Stormwater Consortium is a regional collaboration involving the Carolina Clear program in partnership with communities and educators from universities, state agencies and nonprofits.

Carolina Clear
Carolina Clear is a stormwater education and awareness program of the Clemson University Restoration Institute and the Center for Watershed Excellence.
