GREENVILLE — Dr. A.J. “Buddy” Thompson Jr., co-founder of The Reserve at Lake Keowee, will talk about “Developing a Family Oriented Lakeside Retreat in Upstate South Carolina” at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at Clemson at the Falls.
A reception will follow the presentation.
Thompson will describe how he and his partners raised capital and developed a premier lakeside golf community. He will talk about how their plan to purchase 100 acres for a small lake enclave in 1999 grew into a multimillion dollar venture encompassing nearly 4,000 acres and 30 miles of shoreline on Lake Keowee.
Thompson is founder of Easley Eye Associates. He earned a chemical engineering degree with honors in 1969 from Clemson. He attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and received his medical degree in January 1978.
