Clemson Leadership Seminar to feature Scansource CEO

CLEMSON — Clemson University’s Arthur M. Spiro Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership and the Clemson MBA program present the First Friday Series Leadership Seminar, featuring Mike Baur, chief executive officer of Scansource Inc. The seminar will be at 5 p.m. Friday, March 2, at Clemson at the Falls in Greenville.

Baur has served as CEO of Scansource for more than a decade, after founding the company in 1992 with only six employees. Baur served as president of Scansource from its inception until 2007 and has been a member of the board of directors since 1995.

Today, the international company posts sales of more than $2.5 billion, has 22 locations across three continents and has created nearly 1,500 jobs.

Baur has more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry, having served in various leadership and senior management roles in the technology and distribution industries before founding Scansource.

There will be a reception following Baur’s presentation.
