Five Saturday seminars teach the essential of an MBA to working professionals

GREENVILLE — Clemson University’s Professional Advancement and Continuing Education (PACE) is offering a new Mini MBA Program this spring that teaches the essentials of an MBA through five all-day Saturday seminars at Clemson at the Falls.

“When developing this program, we saw a gap for individuals who didn’t have time to pursue an MBA but desired the hands-on business essentials that an MBA offers,” said Greg Pickett, associate dean for Clemson at the Falls. “This program consists of five seminars that are taught by faculty and industry experts, and we are excited to offer this Mini MBA program to the working professionals of the Greenville business community.”

The Clemson Mini MBA Program will start on April 21 and includes a series of executive leadership luncheons and a ceremony at the culmination of the program. The five Saturday seminars will be taught by different industry experts and business leaders, including Gail DePriest, Bobby Rettew, Rod Grandy, Russell Purvis and Wayne Stewart.

“This Mini MBA is ideal for those who have advanced degrees in the social sciences and humanities who now find themselves reuniting the division and managing people," said PACE Director Tanya Thompson. “We are in a unique position to empower MDs, RNs, small business owners and local artists to be more effective at what they do.”

Individuals can register by calling PACE at 864-656-2200 or at think.clemson.edu where the complete details are available.
