GREENVILLE — Nationally recognized business leader Craig Giffi will speak on “Insights Into Manufacturing the Future" in a public lecture at 5 p.m. Monday, April 9, at Clemson at the Falls, 55 E. Camperdown Way, Greenville. His talk is hosted by the Clemson MBA program and Clemson at the Falls.
Giffi is a vice chairman of Deloitte LLP and the U.S. Automotive Sector Leader. He also is the leader for the U.S. Consumer & Industrial Products Industry practice, chairman of the Global Manufacturing practice of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP.
“Manufacturing’s ecosystem plays a vital role for the economic health of South Carolina and the U.S. overall," said Aleda Roth, Clemson University Burlington Industries Professor in Supply Chain Management. "Craig Giffi will share the perspectives of global CEOs and provide state-of-art thinking on the drivers of competitiveness and change for the future for economic growth. He will also share his views on the factors that are the most likely to shape the future of the competition.”
Currently, Giffi is leading a multi-year global competitiveness in manufacturing initiative in partnership with the Council of Competitiveness aimed at establishing a competitiveness index for countries and their manufacturing sectors.
