CLEMSON — Celebrate spring in style with the Clemson University Jazz Ensemble, “The Jungaleers,” and their trademark orange sneakers. The group will perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts.

In honor of Clemson students who will perform at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, national pride will be highlighted with such pieces as “American Patrol” by F.W. Meacham and arranged by Bill Holcombe and “Salute to the Olympians” by Henry Mancini with translation by Mark Spede.

They also will play such big band pieces as “In the Mood” by Joe Garland, “Big Swing Face” by Bill Potts and “Sing, Sing, Sing” by Louis Prima. Billy Joel’s “Handball” also makes its way into the program along with two Gershwin classics, “Rhapsody in Blue” and “A Foggy Day.”

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased online, in person or by phone. Visit www.clemson.edu/Brooks or call the Box Office at 864-656-7787 from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday–Friday for more information.
