CLEMSON — Clemson University’s student-run radio station, WSBF-FM, will present its fourth annual Spring Music and Arts Festival Friday, April 13, at Tiger Park, 157 Old Greenville Highway, Clemson. The festival starts at 1 p.m. and continues into the night until 2 a.m.
Springfest is an annual service-oriented event that aims to benefit the Clemson community and the surrounding area. The festival is free to the public with a donation of cash or canned goods to Clemson Community Care, a non-profit organization that helps low-income families and individuals become self-sufficient members of the community.
In addition to a host of visual and craft artists, vendors and businesses, Springfest IV will showcase the best alternative regional music on two stages, highlighting a wide range of styles from across the Southeast and beyond. Headlining the festival is Nashville’s pop-rock group Moon Taxi. Also featured is the Durham psych-rock group Megafaun. Philadelphia's street bass Starkey leads the late-night entertainment.
Supporting acts include Charlotte hip-hop group Mr. Invisible, Minneapolis electro rockers Phantom Tails and Atlanta electronic dance band Isness, as well as a number of other acclaimed regional acts, including Today the Moon, Tomorrow The Sun; Fort Wilson Riot; Roz Raskin and The Rice Cakes; NovaKord; We Roll Like Madmen; New Madrid; Old You; and Mountain Homes.
WSBF-FM Clemson broadcasts to the Upstate on 88.1 FM and online at http://www.wsbf.net/.
