CLEMSON — "Moonlight and Magnolias: A Garden Gala" will be at 6 p.m. May 19 in the S.C. Botanical Garden at Clemson University.
“The Garden Gala will be a fun and beautiful evening in the Garden and also will support an exciting new development,” said Patrick McMillan, S.C. Botanical Garden interim director. “We’re planning a National Heritage Garden to showcase the diversity of our state and foster a connection with statewide ecology and unique plant life.”
The Gala includes a silent auction to benefit the National Heritage Garden, as well as live entertainment, dinner, cocktails and the opportunity to learn about new Garden projects. Participating artists at the Gala include Tricia Grant, pastels and digital photography; Del Kimbler, digital photography; Jan Galusza, watercolors; and Deana Baker, photography.
The Gala will be held at the Fran Hanson Visitor Center, the former Southern Living Showcase Home in the Garden. Attire is elegant casual. Tickets are $75 each, with options for whole-table reservations and seats with local celebrities.

The S.C. Botanical Garden is located on the Clemson University campus at the intersection of Highway 76 and Perimeter Road. The Garden encompasses 295 acres of display gardens, nature trails, woodlands and streams, and is open year-round from dawn to dusk, free of charge.
