Fall concerts to begin in S.C. Botanical Garden

CLEMSON — The South Carolina Botanical Garden at Clemson University is hosting Fall Concerts in the amphitheater at 7 p.m. Fridays from Sept. 7 through Oct. 19. Local artists will play everything from indie acoustic to Appalachian traditional music, with blues and funk for good measure.

Admission is $5. Come and bring a blanket or stadium chair. Snacks and beverages will be sold at the Garden Gazebo during the concerts. No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted.

  • Sept. 7 — Marcus King Band, blues, jazz, funk
  • Sept. 14 — Christopher Branch, indie acoustic 
  • Sept. 21 — Six Chickens and a Beer, Appalachian traditional
  • Sept. 28 — Jentry Rose, acoustic Americana
  • Oct. 5 — Katie and Larry, bluegrass, with opening show by Clemson Fiddle Ensemble, Disorderly Conduct and Domestic Violins opening at 6 p.m. with music for Scots-Irish contra dance and English country dance
  • Oct. 12 — The Professors of Soul, soul, R&B, jazz, blues, funk
  • Oct. 19 — Sam Burchfield, folk, blues, funk
