CLEMSON — Electronic artist Amon Tobin brings his ISAM Live 2.0 tour to Clemson's Brooks Center for the Performing Arts at Clemson University at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Since Tobin’s emergence in the mid 1990s on the electronic music scene, the depth and scope of his work has had a far-reaching influence, garnering respect among producers and artists both within and outside of the genre. His album "Adventures in Foam" paved the way for an entire generation of electronic productions and has since ushered in seven critically acclaimed albums under his own name on the Ninja Tune label.
"It's very exciting for Upstate South Carolina to have such a forward-thinking international musician presented at the Brooks Center,” said performing arts student Chris Tollack, who is production director for WSBF-FM Clemson. “By marrying visual and audio components, Amon Tobin challenges traditional notions of artistic expression and performance. ISAM 2.0 is indicative of the vitality of alternative culture and the expanding definition of music."
Tickets for the show are $35 for adults and $30 for students. Tickets and information are available at www.clemson.edu/Brooks or by calling the box office at 864-656-7787 from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
