GEORGETOWN — Clemson University Extension is sponsoring a tree farm tour for forest landowners and foresters at Hobcaw Barony and the Belle W. Baruch Institute of Coastal Ecology and Forest Science.
The half-day outdoor tour will feature discussions by specialists on controlling feral hog populations, invasive plant management, converting to longleaf pine, prescribed burns and more.
Mark Hainds, research coordinator for the Longleaf Alliance, will give the keynote address.
The workshop is from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Kimbel Center at Hobcaw Barony, 20 Hobcaw Road in Georgetown.
The deadline for registration is Nov. 5. The cost is $30 person and includes lunch, refreshments and tour transportation. The tour is limited to 50 participants. Click here to dwnload a registration form.
