Clemson receives 14 awards from higher education organization

CLEMSON — Clemson University was honored with 14 awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District III at the annual conference in February in Atlanta.
The awards recognize communication and marketing work done by staff members in Public Affairs, the College Business and Behavioral Science and Student Affairs publications.
Clemson received a Grand Award in the category Website or Microsite: Recruitment for its new Clemson Majors website. Produced in Clemson’s Office of Creative Services, the site offers prospective students an easy way to explore the 80 undergraduate degree and 110 graduate degree programs that Clemson offers.
Other awards Clemson received at the conference:
- Award of Excellence for The Impact of Clemson University on the State of South Carolina in the Communications and Marketing: Institutional, Community, Government/Public Affairs Engagement Programs category;
- Award of Excellence for the National Student Steel Bridge Competition hosted at Clemson and Special Merit Award for the President’s Box Ticket Package, both in the Communications and Marketing: Special Events category;
- Special Merit Award for the MBA program rebranding by the College of Business and Behavioral Science in the Communications and Marketing: Communications/Marketing Program category;
- Award of Excellence for The Will to Lead campaign announcement events in the Philanthropy: Subunit Campaign category;
- Award of Excellence for “The Idea of Campus in a Digital World,” an address by President James F. Barker, in the Speechwriting category;
- Special Merit Award for The EXCHANGE, the alumni magazine for the College of Business and Behavioral Science, and a Special Merit Award for Glimpse research magazine, both in University Magazine categories;
- Award of Excellence for the 2011-2012 Division of Student Affairs Annual Report in the University Annual Report category;
- Special Merit Award for the 2012 Student Affairs Gala invitation design and a Special Merit Award for the President’s Box Ticket Package in the Design for Print and Digital Specialty Pieces category;
- Special Merit Award for the iPad/tablet edition of Clemson World magazine in the Electronic/Digital Magazine or Publication Rendering for Tablet or Mobile Technology category; and
- Special Merit award for Clemson’s research blog Discovery in the Online Innovation/Experimentation category.
CASE is a volunteer organization with more than 3,500 members dedicated to the advancement of professionals in educational institutions. It was founded in 1974 and with its headquarters in Washington, D.C., with a focus on the fields of alumni relations, fundraising, communications, marketing and others. CASE District III covers nine states in the Southeast: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
