The CMPT is now available for the spring term. Students can also retrieve past scores from this web site.
The CMPT is required of all new students matriculating at Clemson University. This includes both freshmen and transfer students and applies regardless of transfer credit for math courses.
No retakes of the CMPT are permitted and your CMPT score is used to determine math placement only for your first term at Clemson.
Failure to meet course prerequisites will require your taking and passing one or more preparatory math courses prior to starting the initial math course required for your major.
The CMPT can be taken online only and is generally available 24/7 except for about 5 minutes beginning at 11:30 pm (eastern time zone, USA) for maintenance. Visit the Clemson Computing and Information Technology web site for information on regular system maintenance times.
