Evatt named treasurer of Clemson University Foundation

CLEMSON – The Clemson University Foundation has named Alice Evatt, assistant treasurer and business officer for the university’s advancement division, as its new treasurer.

Alice EvattWith this appointment, Evatt takes on the overall financial responsibilities of the foundation. She will continue to serve as the top business executive for the Division of Advancement.

Her responsibilities as treasurer include overall financial stewardship in coordination with the foundation’s chief investment officer of the foundation’s endowment and resources, which total more than $400 million. She will analyze the financial needs and potential revenue sources of the foundation; implement a treasury management plan to optimize cash flow and yields for the short-term portion of the portfolio; and maintain and enhance the reporting and monitoring approaches to communicate the financial status of the foundation to its numerous constituencies. Evatt also will supervise gift-receiving and oversee the financial operations of the advancement division.

Evatt received a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master’s in human resource development from Clemson. After several years in the banking industry, she began working for the Clemson University Foundation in 2000. She was named assistant treasurer and business officer for advancement in 2003.
