Fike Recreation Center offers swim lessons
CLEMSON – Clemson University’s Fike Recreation Center is offering Tiger Fish Swim School this spring for beginning to intermediate level swimmers age 3 to adult.
Participants can learn to swim, learn basic water safety and refine their stroke technique. Instructors will administer swim-level assessments the first day of class if a participant is unsure what level they are. There will be six different levels a swimmer can be placed in. Thirty-minute classes are held on weekend afternoons in the McHugh Natatorium at Fike for a month, with four lessons per session.
The next session begins Sunday, March 30, and runs through Sunday, April 20.
Swim instructors are students who are certified through the American Red Cross, and a lifeguard is on duty during lessons.
Pre-registration is required at www.clemson.edu/campusrec, and the cost is $40 for Fike members and $55 for non-members. Deadline for registration is Friday, March 21.
