New master gardener manuals for sale

CLEMSON – Clemson extension now has the new master gardener training manual for sale. The book is 812 pages full of updated gardening information and is suitable for master gardener instruction as well as a gardening reference.  Cost is $36.

 

The manual includes: soil and plant nutrition; composting; basic botany; basic plant physiology; plant propagation; basic entomology; basic plant pathology; basic weed ecology and management; integrated pest management; landscape design; residential irrigation; selecting plants in landscaping; woody plants; herbaceous ornamental plants; turfgrass; home vegetable gardening; fruit gardening; indoor plants; and diagnosing landscape plant problems.

 

“Gardeners may find this a valuable publication even if they are not master gardeners,” said Tim Davis, Clemson extension agent and state master gardener coordinator.
