Barack Obama schedules Clemson rally for Friday

CLEMSON – Illinois senator and presidential candidate Barack Obama will hold a “Stand for Change” rally at Clemson University on Friday, Jan. 25, at the outdoor theater.  The public will be admitted at 2:30 p.m.

For security reasons, no bags, signs or banners will be permitted.  Please limit personal items.

The university has invited all presidential candidates to campus during the 2008 presidential election cycle.

Obama’s visit to Clemson comes one day before the Democratic primary in the Palmetto State.

Visitors are encouraged to park behind Sikes Hall, if space is available, or behind the west end zone of Memorial Stadium and ride the free CAT bus, which stops at the intersection of Fort Hill Street and Calhoun Drive.

This public event is free, however, the campaign staff strongly encourages registration. Call the Obama for America office in Anderson at (864) 752-8337 or go to www.barackobama.com.
