National economist Ratajczak schedules Clemson Renaissance Center lecture
GREENVILLE – Donald Ratajczak, one of the country’s leading economic forecasters, will speak on the U.S. economic outlook at a reception and dinner beginning at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at The Poinsett Club in Greenville.
Ratajczak is well known for his insights into the U.S. economy and is often interviewed and quoted in The New York Times, Business Week, Fortune, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, CNN, NBC and CNBC.
The reception, dinner and lecture are sponsored by The Piedmont Economic Club, Morgan Keenan & Company and Clemson University’s Renaissance Center, a unit of the College of Business and Behavioral Science.
Ratajczak works with Morgan Keegan & Company as its exclusive consulting economist and serves as Regents Professor Emeritus of Economics at Georgia State University. He retired in 2000 after 27 years as director of the Economic Forecasting Center in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
Ratajczak received his bachelor's degree from Haverford College and his doctorate in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is among the most accurate economic forecasters of the U.S. economy, according to a survey by USA Today and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
